I always wanted to be a spy….

I recently joined another team on Etsy, known as the “Etsy Treasury Hunters”.  Each week they have a fun treasury challenge, usually centering around a certain theme.

I had an awesome time putting together my first submission for week 8 challenge theme “Secret Agent”.

Oil dependancy, BP, Dead Dolphins and Black Pelicans…

I (like everyone else) am upset about this fiasco down in the gulf.  I try to make this an upbeat blog, so I am not going to go on and on about how BP is the devil, or how Americans are too dependant on oil, or how sad it is to see dead dolphins and oil soaked pelicans on the news every night… Okay, so I kinda just did…. but anywho….

Instead I wanted to tell you about some amazing sellers on Etsy that are donating portions of their profits to the clean-up efforts in the gulf (or in some case, entire profits) .  Actually, I wanted to show you!

Above is a link to a treasury I created on Etsy with sellers that are not only creating profits for the clean-up, but also awareness.

There is one seller in particular that I am now completely smitten with.  They are based out of Tacoma Washington.  Anagram Press (http://www.anagrampress.etsy.com) is selling a letterpress poster that is not only beautiful, but a portion of the proceeds from it will be donated to Oceana, an international organization focused on ocean conservation and dedicated to ending offshore drilling.

They have already sold quite a few, so if you are interested, check it out!  http://www.etsy.com/listing/49169577/drill-baby-drill-original-dead-feminists?ref=tre-4c11108178348eef2b69b642-3  If it says that it is “sold”, check out their shop and you can find another listing.
